I just heard Garrison Keillor read all the lyrics to “You’re the Top” by Cole Porter. Wow. It is fabulous. You’ve got to google it and read the whole thing. This is just some of it.
You’re the top!
You’re Mahatma Gandhi.
You’re the top!
You’re Napoleon Brandy.
You’re the purple light

Do you remember Juliette Binoche in the Unbearable Lightness of Being? Her wardrobe for that film is my inspiration for my Spring 2007 wardrobe.

Doug has a birthday party to go to on Sunday. I made this Bunny as a gift for his friend Charlotte. I got the idea from a blog that I follow. The material for the body and for the inside of the ears came from vintage dresses. I’m pretty ruthless with [...]

There is a nice list of green gift ideas on www.treehugger.com.
There is also an interesting article that I found through treehugger called “unconsumption“.

Doug went to a birthday party today. I recently read on treehugger.com that over 80% of parents believe their children have too many toys. It made me think twice about what sort of gift we should give to Doug’s friend for his birthday, especially since it is so close to Christmas. I [...]

I was responsible for packing today’s morning and afternoon snack for Doug’s kindergarten class. I packed these little condiment containers with pumpkin and sunflower seeds. They were a big hit.
