Gina Perry

My girlfriend Gina has left her job as an art director to focus full time on becoming a children’s book illustrator. I am so excited for her. She has actually already illustrated one book. This is her site: www.ginaperry.com.
I pasted this image from her site. It is one of my favorites. [...]

My first video EVA!

I did it. I made a video, downloaded it, fixed the settings, updloaded it to youtube and then posted it to my blog. I’m ready for bed.

I got the Taro Gomi Book

Here are some pages. Aren’t they beautiful. I’ve decided to keep this for myself. The boys don’t love it like I do. I’ll use it as inspiration for plush toys and to practice drawing. A lot of pages ask that you draw and then color in what you’ve drawn.

Chicken Chili

I’m done with the NYTs. There wasn’t much that held my attention. Maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough. The boys are playing with their stuffed mice. They are pretending it is Lemon’s birthday. Doug has wrapped a present for Lemon and written her name on it. Alex is playing [...]

Mini Banana Muffins

I made some yummy mini banana muffins with whole wheat flour. I’m looking forward to reading the Sunday Times with hot coffee and mini muffins.

Tyvek Puppet

Doug has another birthday party coming up. It is for his friend Henry from school. I want to do something different from the airplane thing so I’m going to sew tyvek puppets in the shape of the old Burger King hand puppets. You remember them? I’m going to cut the shape [...]

New Bird in Town

I made a bird out of a felted sweater and a vintage skirt. It was inspired by a series of drawings that Douglas has done on birds. I’ve asked Douglas to keep drawing and I will keep trying to make his drawings into plush toys. I’ve seen this sort of thing done [...]

First Impression

The boys and I went to the Children’s Museum of Portsmouth this afternoon. Drew is home sick so I took the boys out to allow Drew to have a quiet house to sleep. First we went to Barnes and Noble so that I could use up my gift certificate. I got a [...]

Mindball

Doug and I played Mindball. The object of the game is to get the ball into the other person’s goal. The way you do it is by being the most relaxed. You put an electromagnetic thingamagiggy headband around your head. Then you relax as much as possible. Ready Go! [...]
