We are all still enjoying our family vacation. On school nights we are pretty strict about bedtime. Lights out at 8:00 p.m. During this vacation, however, we are allowing the boys some time for bedtime reading with their new headlamps.

…weighing in at 140 pounds is ….me.
I joined a gym today. Looks like I weigh 140 pounds. I weighed 141 this same time last year. I’m looking forward to getting into shape. This time I’ll actually take advantage of the complimentary hour with a personal trainer. I want to make [...]

One of the blogs I read regularly is Danny Seo’s blog Simply Green. Danny has just bought a gorgeous mid-century modern home in Pennsylvania that is in need of a little care. In a few weeks Danny is going to start a weekly post on the Huffington Post that will chronicle the [...]

Apparently he [...]

We had such a nice day today. Drew set up the chimney thing outside along with some milk crates with cushions. I set up everything for the boys to make tie dye t-shirts. It was just …. so nice. A good day. Perhaps we should go outside more often.

My mom passed away on October 10, 2007. For a while now I’ve been thinking about sharing the eulogy I wrote for her. I am proud of it because it accomplished what I wanted — it made people laugh and remember my unique mom. I’ve held off putting it on my blog [...]

This holiday season Youtube is the gift that keeps on giving. Last night I settled down to see if the Project Runway Canada finale had been uploaded — it hadn’t, but what I found instead was Project Catwalk. It is the UK version of Project Runway. Elizabeth Hurley is the host. [...]
