Clementine Box Doll Bed

I’m ruining the surprise for my sister-in-law but I can’t help but post a picture of the doll bed I made for my nieces out of a clementine box. The boys painted the box for me with gold paint. I made the mattress and pillow with scraps of cream fabric. I had an odd shaped piece of vintage quilt squares. It was just enough to make a doll bed quilt. I backed the quilt with fleece and framed it with yellow bias tape. The lesson learned from this project was to not use fleece. It is really hard to sew. In fact, my machine refused to sew it. I had to do it all by hand. I think it looks sweet. Hope the girls like it.
