I went on my first dumpster dive the other day. Now that I’ve done it, I think everyone should experience it. Nothing compares to being inside a dumpster and seeing first hand what people throw out. To learn more read my blog post over on The Sound.

Join the Facebook event page and invite your friends. swapposterlegal

Join us for the 7th Annual Clothing Swap at the Portsmouth Public Library on Saturday, April 30th from 10am to 2pm. Swapping is easy. Bring a bag of gently used items, such as shirts, shoes, jewelery, and pants, drop them off and swap. Leave with a bag of new-to-you items. The remainder of items will be donated to Goodwill Industries of Northern New England. Please remember that this is a donation drive. Give more than you take!

You already know this stuff but watch and share this video anyway.  It is a good (and entertaining) reminder of what not to do (buy fast fashion), plus some other tips — like how you should wash your clothes less frequently. I’m always yelling at nicely asking my boys to stop throwing their clothes in the dirty pile too soon.

Oh and BTW — SAVE THE DATE – the Annual Clothing Swap is schedule for Saturday, April 30th.  More details very soon.
