A Dialogue on Business as Agents of Change

The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) has a vision for the apparel, footwear, and home textiles industry that produces no unnecessary environmental harm and has a positive impact on the people and communities associated with its activities. Members are fueled by a shared commitment to deep transparency, deep collaboration, and improvement. Industry players of all sizes—from multi-billion-dollar apparel holding companies to niche fashion brands grow and improve by sharing best practices and pooling collective knowledge.

In this panel, New England members of the SAC will engage in a frank dialog about the opportunities – and very real challenges – of the next frontier of sustainability in the apparel and footwear industry. Learn how leading companies are already making innovative strides towards reducing their footprint on the earth, but also hear about the game-changing potential for SAC members to do much more to transform the industry from the ground up.

Panelists:
Betsy Blaisdell, VP of Product, SAC
Amy Hall, Director of Social Consciousness, EILEEN FISHER
Stewart Sheppard, Gore-tex Sustainability
